Desert Line Projects LLC (DLP), was established in 1977, (listed as an Excellent Grade Contractor – highest grade) and has become, one of the leading construction companies in Oman and the Gulf region, with an established, excellent reputation, for reliability, quality and performance.

As the name suggests, DESERT LINE PROJECTS LLC, commenced working on projects in 1977, in the interior of Oman, constructing most of the first roads, to access the remote hinterland areas, and has since, constructed major Highways, Roads, Bridges, Dams, Structures, Infrastructure, Plants and other essential associated infrastructure projects (Power, Water, Telephone, Transmitter Stations, Irrigation, etc), throughout the entire Sultanate.

Major Heavy Civil Engineering and Heavy Earthmoving Works and Associated Operations, are the mainstay of the DESERT LINE PROJECTS Group of Companies, which has been extended, in recent years, by diversify into many other Sectors, such as Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Works, Pipeline and Flowline installation, Mining, Telecommunication, Road Haulage, Specialist Transportation service, Quarrying, Drilling and Blasting and providing administrative support to both the building (Al Jauf) and the EPC Petrochemical Company (GPS)

Through, the Sheikh Ahmed Farid Group of Companies, DESERT LINE PROJECTS LLC, has a direct involvement in the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, Utilities and Water Well Drilling (GPS & Desert Byrne, etc) Sectors, the manufacture of Chemicals, Industrial Safety Training (Chemtech, Modern Salt Companies) and also represents, a wide range of established, recognised, foreign manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and services to the Petroleum Industry.

The Group, enjoys a high profitability, from an annual turnover in excess of OMR. 275 million.
